John Karesh began his career with the Woodridge Park District 25 years ago. As the Superintendent of Parks & Operations, he oversees the grass cutting of 600 acres per week, snow removal and the maintenance of vehicles & equipment, playground structures, safety surfaces, buildings, sports fields and park amenities.
Not only does John work in the parks and recreation field, he also volunteers his time to parks and recreation. John is a Park Commissioner for the Westmont Park District, the town where he grew up and currently lives with his wife and three children. When he’s not working in Woodridge or acting as a park commissioner in Westmont, John enjoys getting away to the Northwoods in Wisconsin for boating, fishing and outdoor fun with his family
