Help Us Scare Haunted Forest Walk Visitors

Woodridge Park District is looking for volunteers who love Halloween and want to dress up and scare our Haunted Forest Walk patrons! Two volunteer options are available for the event, which takes place on Friday, October 20 and Saturday, October 21.

Host a Scary Scene in the Woods

Do you have family, friends, teammates, neighbors etc. interested in building a themed scary scene in the woods and frightening people as they walk through? Each group receives a percentage of the event ticket sales, with 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners receiving an additional amount of money. Groups are required to setup their scenes prior to the event start time at 6:30 pm on Friday, October 20 and remain in their scene from 6-10 pm on Friday and 1-3:30 pm and 6-10 pm on Saturday.

Dress Up and Scare Visitors in Line or Woods

Wear your spookiest costume and scare our Haunted Forest Walk patrons while they wait in line at the Fred C. Community Center or while they are out in the woods on Friday, October 20 and/or Saturday, October 21. Volunteers are asked to check-in at 5:30 pm for the evening shifts and at 12:30 pm for the Saturday afternoon shift to be placed in their spots.
