Turn Winter Break into an Adventure with Camps, Clinics and More

Give your kids an unforgettable holiday season with action-packed camps and programs at both the ARC and Fred C. Hohnke Community Center. From open play to structured sports clinics, we’ve designed exciting activities to keep your kids active and engaged during their school break.

Winter Wonder Camp
First through fifth graders can spend their winter break participating in a variety of activities including games, arts & crafts, sports and field trips to Schaumburg Water Works Indoor Water Park and Funway when they are enrolled in Winter Wonder Camp. The full-day camps run 3 days per week during winter break and you must register for the whole week. Dates for the first week are Monday, December 23; Thursday, December 26 and Friday, December 27 and dates for the second week are Monday, December 30; Thursday, January 2 and Friday, January 3. ARC Open Soccer and Basketball
The ARC is offering special holiday hours starting Monday, December 23 for children in 3rd grade through high school to play soccer on the turf and basketball in the gym at the ARC. Click here to view the open gym and turf schedule and fees.

For the adults, there is a Holiday Soccer event on Saturday, December 21 from 8 am-12 pm that includes a round robin format, a shooting contest for gifts and a light breakfast in the morning. Pre-registration is required for the adult Holiday Soccer; click here to register online.

Sports Camps & Clinics
Your young athletes can strengthen their skills during their winter break with a variety of sports camps and clinics at the ARC including: Winter Break Fast Pitch Softball Pitching Clinic; Winter Break Fast Pitch Softball Hitting Clinic; Winter Break Girls Softball Camp; Winter Break Volleyball Skills Camp and Power Through Basketball Skills Camp. Laser Tag
Level up your laser tag experience at the ARC with 3 time slots on Friday, December 27! Our state-of-the-art taggers feature precision red-dot and green-dot scopes, providing instant hit confirmation and real-time feedback. Every shot and elimination comes alive with immersive sci-fi and arcade sound effects, creating an unmatched tactical gaming atmosphere. Each 60-minute session begins with a thorough 10-15 minute briefing covering safety protocols and gameplay orientation, ensuring you’re ready for action. Sled Hill
Will we have a White Christmas this year? The sled hill at Jubilee Point Park, 7101 Woodridge Drive, will be open daily during daylight hours if conditions are suitable for sledding. View the Woodridge Park District Rainout Line web page or app for up-to-date information on the sled hill.
